Basic Tutorial for Getting to the Mun

Recommended Posts

Hello!

I have played KSP in the past with friends, but I am still a fairly new player with a very basic knowledge of KSP. I do understand DeltaV, retrograde, apoapsis, prograde, and periapsis, so you don't need to refrain from using those words, but I basically need someone to quickly explain to me how to get to the Mun and even further with what I have in vanilla KSP. If any of you have YouTube accounts where you do this sort of thing, feel free to link them below and I will check them out!

Thanks guys!

A two minute task for you Aphobius, a rather skilled and experienced player. I'd bet huge sums that your first trip to the Mun took much longer, so how about not condescending to new players just because they don't have your abilities yet?

*ahem*

dongriffen, have a look at the Drawing Board, a compendium of both written and video tutorials including a couple about going to the Mun.

Oh and welcome to the forums!

Just to put another option on the table, I did an 18t Mun Landing with discussion on how to do it with no upgrades in my Let's Play. You can find that video here:

Additionally, there are a number of YouTube Tutorials out there already. You can find them most easily here:

There's a ton of options there, and the first one up (to probably very few people's surprise) is by Scott Manley. :)
