Well, I might as well revive this thread, as I finally updated my avatar to the newest version of KSP.

There is the full version, though for use on these forums I'll be using an even more cropped version of it. Now it is time to get working on my dang signature (can anyone teach me how to do fancy stuff with text in GIMP?).

Essentially, editing text. I know how to change size, how to change font, how to apply color, but is there anything I can do beyond that? Rotating is actually proving out to be too un-intuitive, and I can't figure out how to do anything else (like, say, give your text an outline, or fill it with a gradient).
