Schwalbe "chopper"

I recently wanted to make a helicopter-looking, but full usable thing in KSP. Here´s what I came up with:

The "Schwalbe"

You may have noticed that its not a chopper, but jet powered. But since KSP doesn´t have any rotors and it behaves like a helicopter (only VTOL), I´ll call it a chopper. I originally designed it as a BD armory craft, but this is the stock version. It has 6 weapon hardpoints on its wings where you could add stock weapons (I would have added them myself, but I just can´t make a good one). It flies very well and I´m very confident, because its actually the second VTOL I´ve ever build. The Schwalbe is kerballed with 2 Kerbals, I suggest 1 Pilot (Pilot) and 1 Engineer (Gunner). The cockpits are slightly angeled, so I added a probe core just behind the inline cockpit for normal horizon. It also has a very clever landing system that bases on parachutes. The Schwalbe´s thrust limiters are set to just-a-bit-more-than-hover.

The Schwalbe can perform all kind of tasks, from ground support over air superiorty to cargo transports.

1. Engage Brakes & SAS

2. Control from Probe core

3. Throttle full up

4. Activate engines (1)

5. Hold S until your horizon is level

6. Once in the air throttle down to ~5/6 of thrust for good hover

7. Retract landing gear

1. Extract landing gear

2. Make sure brakes are engaged

3. Try a normal VTOL landing

4. About 100m above your target, engage parachutes (space)

5. Throttle down to 1/3.

6. Use engines to fine tune your landing spot

7. Once landed cut thrust

8. Repack chutes

The last 3 pictures are from the BDA version I made for
