Ctrl-z and Ctrl-y works, but careful when using it, especially with high part count craft. I feel like it is trying to rebuild the whole craft every time you do that.

Yeah, it does seems to function strangely. Makes the game hang on my higher part craft.

I think I've had a situation when ctrl+z didn't work. Not home to try it out but might have been something to do with subassemblies (dropping stuff in wrong place and not in the area to add one).

//edit

Now that I thought of this I'll have to check if I can actually reproduce that and if it's an actual bug.

Just know that sometimes it seems like ctrl-z isn't working, but it's just slow. I think it also helps if the cursor is not on the parts list, IIRC

If you are not sure, just watch the yellow vehicles that are whizzing on the ground of the VAB/SPH (or the kerbals, if you have them turned on) - if they freeze, the revert/redo process is happening. If they continue walking, something is wrong (you either have nothing to revert/redo or are pressing the wrong button combination).

I was just going to say exactly that!

Sometimes undo will take you back two steps rather than one, I think that might depend on how quickly you're doing things though.

Ah yes, I'm usually zoomed in too much to notice the ground crew. That's usually when I try to move the camera. If it's stuck, I know it's thinking about it
