Add ride a debris/asteroid, Navball numbers and Altimeter GUI are too small, add compass etc

Recommended Posts

1. Navball numbers and Altimeter GUI are too washed out. I cannot see them good on my monitor. They can be made more crisp ?

2. We need a default compass (N, S, E and V).

3. Can we colect data from the debris, debris (ship parts etc.) that may degrade over time in space ? Debris may become smaller over time and thus degrade in space.

4. ISO

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_International_Organization_for_Standardization_standards

Can a simplified version of some of them be made and added in the game ?

Example :

ISO 11:1987 Aircraft – Ground pressure testing connections for pressure cabins. This iso will imply testing or aircraft destruction is possible in the game.

5. Can a device/rocket be added in the game, so a debris/asteroid be used to command/control it in space ?

6. Management

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glossary_of_business_and_management_terms

Example :

How in total is a Kerbal mission effectiveness and efficiency related ?

1. Looks fine to me, both on a new monitor and my 6 year old laptop. Maybe try turning up the contrast on your monitor?

2. Between the navball and the heading indicator I think this is covered pretty well.

3. Not sure what you're suggesting, can you clarify?

Well, the first wiki link is every ISO standard ever, I'm not sure what you are suggesting or how it would work in game with #4.

#5 is the Claw if I understand you correctly.

#6 is a list of a lot of business terms (most of which I'm familiar with, it's the area of my education). Which of them are you suggesting be implemented, and how?

#3 doesn't make sense to me, what are you suggesting exactly?

I'm not dismissing your ideas, just trying to understand what you are suggesting exactly.

I agree, I use EnhancedNavBall mod to scale up the Navball (granted my eyesight is terrible), but I wish it was stock. I know you can scale the GUI in the settings but I don't want to scale the whole thing, just the parts with small text. Altimeter looks fine though, unless you are trying to read the analog version, but I have no idea why that is even there really. You can also use Texture Replacer to put a better NavBall texture. I use a high contrast black & white navball which make it a lot easier to see.

2. We need a default compass (N, S, E and V).

It wouldn't make much sense in space. Heading should be all you need. Just remember 0 = N, 90 = E, 180 = S, and 270 = W. The numbers on the runway indicate it's direction too btw. Heading / 10.

3. Can we colect data from the debris, debris (ship parts etc.) that may degrade over time in space ? Debris may become smaller over time and thus degrade in space.

Yes, you can collect science data from any debris that is not destroyed by recovering it.

I don't follow you on this, the game doesn't go that in depth. Crew cabins will not be destroyed by pressure, their link to the rest of the craft might.

5. Can a device/rocket be added in the game, so a debris/asteroid be used to command/control it in space ?

You can with a probe (or really any command pod), affix it with a claw.

I'm not sure I know what you are requesting.

I meant management terms can be added in the game. How eficient has been your mission...

Do debris get smaller until they dissapear ?

Can a kerbal sit/walk on a asteroid and with a computer/device added to the asteroid, controls it in space ? Like baron Munchausen on a cannon ball...

1, why would that be a good thing and how would you calculate it?

2, no, unless they encounter an atmospheric pressure of above 0.1 atm or the ground while on rails, they'll exist until you terminate them.

3, how would that be any different than adding a command pod/probe core to it via the Claw? Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're asking still.

only understand #1 and i completely agree. The worst thing is the vertical speed indicator, the numbers are so blurred that it's impossible to read... With a read-able vertical speed indicator and a TWR/DeltaV reader i would uninstall KER
