[Dreams] What does it mean?

Any chance you downed some NyQuil before you fell asleep? I know it can give me rather vivid dreams (and sleep talking, according to my roommate...) :P

As for what it could me, eh, I'm no Freud. I've had plenty of dreams that I can remember vividly, but still have no idea what they could even begin to mean, even years later.

The dream sound like you're bored with your life and (if you still live with your parents) that you want to move out. That's the theme that seems to keep reoccurring. But, I don't know your life. I would think it would be hard to interpret a dream without knowing what's going on with your life.

Personally, I'd go with the story that you were visited by a telepathic alien who is studying human psychology.

In all seriousness, I think most dreams, even vivid dreams, mean nothing. It may be your subconscious trying to tell you something, but it might not be. If you think that it is, then you can try to interpret it, but for me it's usually something I already know, but never really put into words. Sometimes it's something I know perfectly well. Of course, that doesn't mean to disregard it. I've heard of scientists coming up with great discoveries because they listened to what their dreams told them about something.

your dreams make way too much sense compared to my dreams, for example, if I had that dream and grabbed the scissors, I probably would find myself as a different age in a playground on another planet, and find it perfectly normal. Then I wake up, and I'm like, "What?"

Given that it's your brain making these dreams up, it would be rather surprising if none of it ever made any sense. If the dream makes too much sense, it might just be that the memories it was constructed from are fresh and/or easily accessed, and put into a sequence that just happened to make sense.

Or it might really mean something. I'd rather if it didn't, because if dreams are a meaningful part of our psyche, then I probably belong in a lunatic asylum :P

EDIT: Also, I'm slightly disappointed by the lack of double rainbows in your dream.

A respectable interpretation. To tell the truth, this has put me on edge all day. The walk didn't help, and neither did a bit of Voyager. Maybe I'll try this line of thinking, and see where it get's me. I appreciate the input.
