a few questions about compressed air

everyone knows about the compressed air in firespitter, but I figure I better make sure people know what im talking about first so, this is the compressed air in firespitter

I know it can be used to run jet and propeller engines for a short time but I have some questions about it

has anyone ever tried to use them on another planet?, can it work or does something happen to the air tanks?

if so, is there a mod that allows you to produce oxygen which can in turn be used to create intake air without having to install any realistic life support mods?

can compressed air be exploited to run jet engines in space? (obviously this is not how it works in real life, so what im asking is in the game, will jet engines produce thrust in space running on compressed air?)

I once changed the configs for intake fuselages, they could hold some air. That ended up in 2 kN thrust always and they drank fuel faster than the cluster engine... I would love if someone could mod it to an useful state

You could store IntakeAir in a tank and feed it to jet engines in space, yes. You'd run out incredibly fast though so you'd need a *lot*, so you're better off using a rocket. If you're going to fantasyland like this why not make a rocket as efficient as a jet engine?
