Hello,

I have downloaded the mod and checked version compatibility and everything seems in order. I had the model rework that i deleted because the mod did not seem to work.

I made a test vehicle consisting in command pod, batteries (the 4000 capacity ones) and an unobstructed piston.

I tried using the command panel and the key binding to make it move but i did not succeeded. The EC draw of the psiton is null even when ordering movement and the arrow activity sign is showing up.

What can i do ?

Have you tried other parts? Can you post a screenshot of the craft and your log?

@AccidentalDisassembly, could you please redownload release from github and test again.

Same log (NOT new download of release, same game session), after sending to orbit the craft that spammed those NREs. After getting it to orbit, went into VAB, placed MK1 command pod with extendatron basic (rework part) on top, launched, no NREs: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/59567837/output_log_IRNRE_2.txt. Will try the release download again here.

 

EDIT: But if you're referring to the GitHub 2.0.3 Core files, that's what I've got in my GameData right now (I hope) and I don't see any new changes to it in the last 4 hours...

Why so many of you use KSP 1.1.0 and not the latest build?

Please update your KSP to 1.1.2 and everything will work.

They always fall apart during launch, under the fairing.

There are plenty of adapters in Zodius's parts, and you should use struts to keep things in place. You can use RoboStruts for launch (you can decouple them later once they are not needed anymore).

The huge solar panel part doesn't allow a strut.

Do you mean these Truss lite <-> Truss Pro adapters etc.? They don't solve the issue.

During launch, at roughly 2.5 g / 25 m/s² at ~ 30,000 m, one fell apart, magically went through the closed fairing.

I found this debris later .... it's the piece that was connected to the solar panel at least.

Try upping breakForce in part.cfg for that part.

And the IR_Pivotron_Hinge_Basic part.cfg got no breakForce, but breakingForce of 999.

Try setting it and the next parameter (breakingTorque) to 1000000 and see how it affects the craft

They have different shapes depending on your needs. For instance Adaptrons have adapt from a larger to a smaller attachment node size, without you needing an extra part.

I see.  So if I'm building a robotic arm to help move heavy containers around my orbital station, the beefier-looking Pivotrons are probably the best to use?
