There's an embargo time to make sure everyone has enough time to record and edit their videos. When the embargo lifts everyone can post their videos at the same time

Anyways, at least the release is after finals, im so happy it wasnt this week, or much later, as will be fairly free once finals are done and i wont have any major distractions.

Why do you think that?

Historical precedence. The last two media releases were a Saturday immediately following a Squadcast broadcast of the new features. Previous to that they released the media a lot sooner, but I think they decided they didn't like it that way.

Every since the Asteroid update, Squad has been on point with the media releases. Worse thing is create hype, then let it overload for 2 weeks then release the update to an explosive community that wasn't totally positive about getting the game so late.
