KSP: Aircraft through the Centuries [Near Stock Replica Showcase]

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I would like to present to you my aircraft replicas through the decades! Below is a list of the aircraft that I have recreated in KSP, as well as their year of introduction and a short sentence or two about each. A download link of the crafts is also provided below.

The crafts utilize the Kerbal Aircraft Expansion mod by the user keptin because stock 0.90 does not have propellers or large landing gear, (and a large cockpit at the time some of these replicas were made). I tried to keep these crafts as stock as possible; I wanted to be as creative as possible. All crafts are flyable, and most are easy to do so.

Sadly, I have lost a few crafts (due to updates through both KSP and KAX, and thus have lost some excellent crafts: Caproni Ca.4, B-17 Flying Fortress, Concorde (supersonic passenger jet), A-10 Thunderbolt, Boeing 747, B-2 Spirit Stealth Bomber, and Solar Impulse solar powered aircraft).

I really like the style of those crafts! My B-2 Spirit bomber looked similar to the third one, but sadly was lost between updates (corrupted)!

The thing i love most about those three is they were built in 0.24 and still work lol, Probably why they have nearly 1.5k downloads between them, so glad they were never corrupted

A very impressive catalogue of replicas!

I'd just like to point out that the Bleriot XI was designed and flown by the French (not British) aviation pioneer Louis Bleriot. Like most of my spaceplanes, his first ten attempts to design a practical aircraft were unsuccessful but he stuck at it, and his mk11 was the good one. Not knowing how to swim didn't stop him from making the first crossing of the Channel on the 25th July 1909, so on the whole he had a pretty Kerbal way of getting things done. Beautiful moustache too...

Keep up the good work!

Regards, UA.

Ah, thank you for noticing that typo. Good catch! And interesting to know that he didn't know how to swim. Just like Jeb, he must have been a real BADA55! (like the Kerbal hex color :D!)
