No stars till 60km

Recommended Posts

It's Distant Object Enhancement, when close to a celestial body it makes the skybox fade. It's also realistic.

I don't have any mods and its not realistic.

Stars begin to be visible in daylight at the karman line, which in KSP is at about 35km.

Actually, I think the Karman line is way higher now due to the atmosphere changes. See:

You wouldnt see stars at any time when its daylight in space because of reflection and sunlight.

I think there is some confusion here. Was the atmosphere actually changed or was it just aerodynamics?

At the Karman line the atmosphere above you is so thin that scattered light no longer blocks out the stars, you would simply need to put your hand in front of the sun to see the stars.

What about trying this at nigh? :)

At night the stars are always visible, so it's not that its completely broke, I'm just calling it a bug because it worked correctly before 1.0 and now it does not.

When orbiting bellow 60km and moving form day to night side of kerbin the stars also fade in abruptly.

Is this an unexpected result of recent changes to the game that never got fixed, or is this just one of those "unpolished" things that will eventually be addressed?
