New Landing Gear Wheels Not Spinning

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

upon attempting to make a basic craft to test some new things, I noticed that the new landing gear (Medium and Large) wheels do not spin. I don't know if this is meant to be or just was not implemented? Any help would be much appreciated!

I guess to go off on a small tangent, I think the medium gear should be steerable. The only other alternative way of providing steerable gear to a large aircraft would be to use the old method: Put some small gear under an ugly block sticking out under the craft.

But anyway, is there something I could fiddle around with a part's file to make the wheels appear to spin or something?

I have a similar problem but I don't think the wheels are even spinning as far as the physics engine is concerned. Any craft I build that uses them lists violently to one side like if I were using strut skis or something. I just can't tell if the wheels are incomplete or not, I though they were rotating before, too.

Welcome aboard!

Only the Small Gear Bay has a spinning animation, the larger gear do not though they still function properly. It sounds like your wheels are misaligned, for them to function well they need to be perfectly vertical. Sometimes it can be caused by flex in the vessel, they look good in the editor but when the craft bends they go out of whack.
