Map view, seeing zoomed in and zoomed out views at the same time

When I'm adjusting the location of a manoeuvre node I need to be zoomed into the map view to see what I'm doing/where I'm dragging it. I also need to be zoomed out to see the effect of the manoeuvre on my final orbit. I need to see zoomed-in and -out views simultaneously. Zooming in and out, I find it hard to follow the effect it's having, especially when it's sometimes quite small.
