Love the new Tourists

I noticed that they also gain experience at the end of the flight. I wonder if Squad will use this later for better paying, and more demanding tourism.

I'm hoping that tourists that have been on flights with your space program might (randomly) later decide to apply for a job as a kerbalnaut--along with any experience points they might have gained as customers. It would provide more reason to run tourist missions as well as an interesting sense of continuity.

It would be even funnier if, after joining the force, their occupation was still "tourist," and if "tourist" had its own set of skills. Perhaps they're really good at planting flags or improving reputation, or maybe their presence automatically makes any screenshots look more magnificent.

This would be great.

Tourists are my favorite type of mission now. They pay well, they give a sense that there are kerbals outside of the program, and they pushed me to finally do a Kerbin-system grand tour.

I found a tourist that must have had the BadS = true setting. She enjoyed the flight as much as Val did.

What are the effects of that flag being true anyway? I only learned of its existence a few days ago, I understand Jeb and Val have it. Thanks.

My suborbital Tour ship is extremely overpowered right now. It can get to orbit and probably do a Mun pass. I need to cut back and make just suborbit hopper. It's providing some interesting challenges and ideas.

I would also love to see Tourists return to become astronauts some day!

BTW, if you have a tourist that wants three different locations, you can do one, bring them back, then add them to a mission to another location, etc. Until you happen to hit all on their list.

When BadS=False, a Kerbal's expressions range from Happy to Panic-Town. When BadS=True, their expressions range from Neutral to Ecstatic. It is extremely rare for one of these Kerbals to panic. I remember there being a post from a Dev (Harvester?) somewhere explaining it along with the effects of the courage and stupidity stats better than I can.

I remember that post. I don't think the Courage and Stupid stats did anything at the time, but I always hired Kerbals with max stupidity for "dangerous" missions hehe.

What if after you you do a tourism mission, you have a small chance to have the kerbal cycle through the astronaut complex hire list with a small boost to a skill?

Would love it, make some sense too, they liked space so much they wanted to work there.
