I'm aware of this stereotypical american sense of humor, but I'm expecting more from people of this forum.

Please keep in mind that 1 000 000 french people died at war in WWI, 4 000 000 were wounded, and the family tree of many of us can remember this.

*British sense of humor (though I happen to be Dutch and living in East-Africa, feel free to make jokes about our 'heroic actions' in the first world war)

Anyway, my apologies I haven't been in Europe for a while and I forgot about the French not having a sense of humor. ;-) Please keep in mind that while factually correct and even somewhat on the low side, the majority of families in Europe lost someone (or in the worst case were completely wiped out) during both WWI and/or WW2. Call me heartless, but in my opinion no reason to get upset when somebody makes a friendly joke. (please notice the smiley just after the link) I think Europe has far more pressing issues than the dog of the uncle of my aunt's grandfather who lost his life in the trenches. I shall put a note under the post for hypersensitive and easily offended people, how about that?

Pardon Rictus Bingo, j'ai parasité ta présentation, surtout que pour toi il n'y avait pas de problème.

C'est simplement que tu vois, quelqu'un lit "French" et l'association "->surrender" ressort automatiquement, c'est désolant. Je sais bien que ça se voulait amical, il ne s'en rend pas compte, et c'est le principal.

Charrier un français parce que c'est un mangeur de grenouilles c'est rigolo. Mais là c'est très différent. Depuis 15 ans ce cliché s'est développé très nettement sur internet chez les anglo-saxons (il décline heureusement), et il n'a rien d'anodin, il a été encouragé par un climat politique. En passant...

Et l'argument: "Tu es portugaise? Et ta moustache, elle fait combien de centimètres? ;-) Note: si tu ne trouves pas ça drôle c'est que tu n'as pas le sens de l'humour et que tu es hypersensible", je trouve ça moyen.

Bref, bon jeu! :-)

Please knock it off with the French surrender stereotype jokes. While I'm sure they're meant in good humor, some people will assuredly take them as an offense.
