update not working

I am very happy that ksp have come out with a 1.0 but when I try to update with the patcher it sticks at preparing bin stuff and I cant download from the page and could some one just please help me update too 1.0 A step by step walkthrough would be nice.

Hi Ike, the patcher is down currently, but Squad are working on it ASAP, you'll have to get the installer or full zip from the store for the time being

so what your saying is that I can still use the patcher I still have but ill have to wait till its back up?

I'm saying the patcher won't work because there is an issue with Squads server that deals with the patcher, but the store download is working fine
