VAB crashes

Recommended Posts

I ever had KSP crash on me only a couple times, but now 1.0 is often crashing in VAB. It either becomes unresponsive or self-terminates. So far it has only happened when I have been attaching parts to parts that themselves are radially attached to the ship, happened twice yesterday when I was putting nosecones on radially attached SRBs (on radial decouplers) and just now when I was putting an SRB on a radial decoupler. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Sorry, no player.log attached - I restarted the game already and it seems to start from blank at restart. Anything else I could provide?

Hi kurja, we really do need logs, also info on your system, the "ldd KSP.x86" output and anything else you can gather that may help.

Also please make sure your graphics driver is up to date and that your copy of KSP is not corrupted by testing a fresh copy.

Same error here.

I've tried put two Rockomax BACC Solid Fuel Booster. Then, when i tried to put an Aerodynamic Nose Cone on top of one of the Rockomax, with three-fold symmetry, the game crashed and close, without showing any error.

I doesn't click with left mouse to put the part, I just moved the mouse there.

Also:

I'm having an issue with sensivity of camera, it's ULTRA sensivity, forcing me to control with keyboard arrows.

(I don't know if the bugs have something in common).

I'm not in home right now, but I'll run the game with terminal commands to see if i can get some error or something.

Oh, I know what you mean now, yeah KSP dies with a segmentation fault and dumps the core in the player.log, it's been doing this for a long time now and no one has figured out why.

It happens to me mainly when placing parts onto existing symmetrical parts, but not all the time.

There's no known fix yet :/
