Does anyone ever use LES?

I really don't see the use for the Launch Escape System, it doesn't serve any real purpose for me since I can just revert launch. Why do you guys use it? Maybe I'm missing something...

I have seen people use them for "stuff" I have never used one personally... Same thing with that sputnik probe. Lots of parts I never use and probably never will

Also, one does have the option of making choices to make the game more hard core. You can turn off the ability to revert, for example. Hard core players may use them all the time.

I'm a seat of the pants engineer and pilot so... lol.

Yep, using LES here along with no respawn/no revert in career mode.

I even put chutes on my plane's cockpit (which has separator also) and I use to program safety sequences to the ABORT button. ^^

It may sounds paranoid but most of my Kerbals dies of old age.

Well, I don't play hardcore, but I like to pack one just in case, and if I have a CATO I usually fire it for roleplay purposes, even if I'm going to hit revert.

Yeah I think hardcore mode players probably use it, but I haven't for its intended purpose. You should try putting one of them on an empty big orange tank. Was an impressive amount of thrust, at least pre 1.0.
