atmosphericTemperature vs externalTemperature

Recommended Posts

A vessel seems to have two temperatures now - atmosphericTemperature and externalTemperature. atmosphericTemperature is presumably the ambient temperature, but what is externalTemperature? Is it equivalent to stagnation temperature or something different?

It's the latter, although not the best approximation of the latter. :) (It uses the "1 m/s = 1K" hack that DRE used to).

That makes sense I guess ... so externalTemperature = atmosphericTemperature + srfSpeed?
