How do you upgrade to 1.0 ??

So I'm running the 32b Linux version on standard Ubuntu -- I launch the game and the launcher launches and then starts flashing ----- Checking for Updates ....... this goes on and on and on ..... I have zero idea of what is really happening and I doubt Linux version is going to play nicely with update ...... Is the update downloadable ???? Oh yeah I'm running the Beta version

it is downloadable without the launcher; go to the ksp store (where you first got ksp), and there should be a direct download for KSP 1.0.2 (the one that isn't the installer)
