Getting wheeled base to minmus?

Hey! So in career mode i was given a contract to put a base station on the surface of minmus. The problem I'm having is that I have no clue how i'm supposed to do that, and put wheels on it. One of the requirements is that it be on wheels and the only powered wheels would cause massive drag and instability. and since i don't have KAS i can't attach them on later. I thought about using plane wheels (like landing gear) but the problem again is that its not powered and it has to be as i have to land 3 seperate modules then link them togeather (requires 12 kerbals on the base @_@). another problem ill get to later is TACLS but im not too concerned about that for now. any thoughts on how to get these beasts onto minmus?

Wrap the base in a fairing until you're at ~40km or so . If you have rover (powered) wheels you probably have access to the 2.5m fairing; it's one tier earlier in the tech tree under Advanced Aerodynamics.

ahh that does make sense o.o i just figured wheels might be too much for a faring . also i don't have powered wheels yet XD i should have read the contract before signing i guess . but ive got 12 years to do it so im sure i can get to it later. thanks for the handy tip friend!

In general if it doesn't look aerodynamic (for whatever reason) a fairing'll save you fuel even though it adds mass, at least in my experience. Even if it's just a capsule with a probe on top
