Little green progress bars what are you trying to tell me?

Since 1.02 I have seen these little green progress bars over various parts. My guess is that that indicate heat or damage to parts. Playing on a Mac. Are these things a bug or are they trying to tell me something? Btw just noticed it in 1.02, it might have been the before.

It is the new heating overlay. The different overlays can be toggled using F10, F11 and F12. IS ther F-Keys on mac?

They indicate overheating, when they get filled either your ships or your RAM explodes.

edit: To be clear, better deactivate them. They are a huge memory leak atm, as soons as the symbols pop up, and can cause your game to crash.

Read the patch notes.

Those are temperature bars.

Now press F10 to hide them, as apparently they impose quite a processor and memory load on your system.

It shows the parts' XP gain. Once the bar is full the part goes up a level, and starts celebrating with fireworks.

Yep they do have function keys. I wasn't sure how to make the Mac F keys work. Three keys at once for an F key to work on my set up Ha ha. Must have pressed on one of them mistake when trying to open the debug for a look.

The gauges are automatically enabled, since they only pop up when they're actually needed.
