Are the scanners reusable?

I put a surface scanner on my minimus lander and decided to give it a jolly old go at the launch pad.

Turns out the launchpad has 2% ore on my save.

But then the "scan for stuff" disappeared from the surface scanning module, now I'm worried that I have to equip multiple scanners if I want to scan multiple locations. Would I be able to just reuse it?

They are reusable

The scanners are reusable, but you need to move them to a different location to use them again (possibly different biome?)
