What exactly does all the stuff in the aerodynamic forces overlay mean?

Recommended Posts

I gather that the red lines are drag, but what's the little blue arrow? I think I remember seeing some yellow things on control surfaces too. Is there anything official that says exactly what all this stuff means?

the cyan arrow is body lift. All parts can generate lift even if they aren't wings.

Blue (not cyan) arrows are lift generated by wings, and yellow is lift generated by control surfaces.

Excellent, thanks.

I think the red line have to stay on the back of your ship, its like a guide , if is not allined youll burn, and the blue arrow help you to align and center the ship.

Red line is your drag vector. Basically, it's where the ship wants to go because of the air resistance, and if your engine points too far away from it, whichever part has the least drag + most mass will want to move front, usually the engine.
