Some help with fairing separation?

As you may or may not already know, I'm modeling a kerbalized adaptation of the Thor-Delta. I'm done with the core stage, but the fairing separation has got me puzzled. Right now, the fairing eject up, instead of out, and the craft shakes madly. Can anyone help?

ModuleDecouple, by default, generally ejects attached parts upwards.

In my SDHI SMS, I use ModuleAnchoredDecoupler on each of the fairing sides to allow them to eject sideways, and one upward-ejecting ModuleDecouple on the fairing base to release the payload.

I should note that this "multipart" fairing method is incompatible with the stock 1.0 aero model, as the system has no idea how to handle separate parts of a fairing that each partially shield a payload.

For fairing seperation, I always include a thrustTransform object in unity which sits a bit above the center of mass in game. Give it high thrust and llow fuel, and the fairing seperated properly. At least that was the case in 0.90. :S
