I've reported a few bugs but don't get replies to the threads so I'm not sure whether anyone has looked at them or not and it discourages me from bothering to report others. It might also reduce the number of duplicated reports if there was a bug tracking system in use.

SQUAD does have a bugtracker (http://bugs.kerbalspaceprogram.com/)

However, the problem is that many of the bug/feature reports submitted by users are often of a very poor quality or are duplicates, and so what SQUAD does instead is to pick out the few good ones from the public bugtracker and putting them in their own internal bugtracker to deal with later.
