Satellite contracts borked?

Recommended Posts

So in career mode earlier, I accepted a contract to place a new unmanned satellite into a munar orbit - I built the probe, launched it, got out to the required orbit... looked at the contract window and the "maintain orbit stability for 10 seconds" and "unmanned new satellite" check boxes were ticked - the required orbit box, however, was not, even though I was pretty much smack on the orbit required (2-3km deviation at the Pe and Ap). I manually completed the contract through the debug menu as I had clearly done the contract, so I came here asking for more advice on these satellite contracts; basically, are they borked?

Yes, the most frequent mistake is that people put their sats in the same orbit but in different direction. Clockwise (retrograde orbit) and counterclockwise (prograde orbit) are different orbits - check that.

Compare your inclination with the inclination of the desired orbit in the contract specification. Most likely they will differ by ~180 degree.

Are you certain the satellite is travelling in the right direction? It should be orbiting the same way the brighter dots are moving around the required orbit path.

that... ahh... now that I think back to it.... ahhhhhhhhhh...... damn xD OK that answers by question lol
