Bad Astronomer Phil Plait probably owns Kerbal Shapeways

Recommended Posts

Ended up watching that whole video and loved it, lol. I've seen him on science channel a lot. I suppose he plays if he's willing to display the figures in the show. Wonder what it'd take to get him to post.

Phil Plait is quite an amazing presenter and certainly knows his science, but this is clearly a studio set. People who do set design get paid to find stuff like this, to make credible backgrounds. On the other hand, there is no evidence to suggest that Phil doesn't play KSP, so let's just assume he does (and we can also assume he is very good at it).

Well that might be true.

BUT!

At least there is one of us decorating Phil's Set ;)

They aren't his, they do belong to someone who works on Crash Course, however. I finally hunted down where I saw it:

But yes, that is Phil threatening not to return one ;)

And Hank Green (one of the cofounders of Crash Course) has a KSP playlist on his GamesWithHank youtube channel :)

Still cool, though, and I also smile every time I see them on that set.
