KSP Folder Acess denied

Hello. I recently upgraded to Windows 8 64 bit, and I'm experiencing a problem. When I try to make changes to my Kerbal Space Program folder, it says "You need permission to perform this action. You require permission from my name to make changes to this folder" The folder is labeled game data. The options it gives me are try again and cancel. I am the administrator and the only user account on this computer. The version of KSP is 1.0.2.842 and was not bought on steam. If somebody could help me out on this pesky problem I would greatly appreciate it

Computer Specifications:

CPU- Intel Celeron G1610

RAM- Corsair 12 gbs

GPU- NVIDIA Geforce GT640

Power Supply- 600 watt Corsair

HDD- Western Digital 1 TB

Mother Board- Gigabyte P75-D3

Hi deltadonut, this is not a KSP issue but a Windows operating system issue, so all I can do is point you to Windows forums where your error has been addressed.
