Mk3 parts and symetry

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I just tried to make a fuel vehicule with the Mk3 Rocket fuselage and it brakes down if i try to turn with RoveMax Model XL2. Is it normal ?

I also have a bug in the SpacePlane Hangar where the symetry cannot be cancel and i have to reload the ship.

Welcome aboard!

For your first question, a pic of the vessel would be very helpful in diagnosing problems.

For your second question, what do you mean exactly when you say "Symmetry cannot be canceled"? Does pressing X not turn off symmetry for you?

For the symetry sometimes the symetry mod is locked and i can't cancel it but maybe was it fixed in 1.0.2

Sorry Apollo22, your craft is too heavy so it will collapse like this, you will need to empty the fuel or use smaller parts, also reinforce your craft with struts.

Symmetry is hereditary, and child parts will inherit the symmetry of their parent, but you can reset symmetry to zero by placing single parts and then symmetry after that can be different.

Nope ... there is in fact a (kindof) bug where the MK3 parts have too weak joints. I reccomend you go to the Addon-Releases section of this forum. There is a sticky called Stock Bug Fix Modules. That is a mod that fixes this bug and many others.

Sometimes in SPH the symmetry is buggy. It will show 2-times-symmetry but in fact it will clip the same part multiple times on one side. Press Shift+X to reduce symmetry mode until you get no symmetry. then press x to get real 2x-symmetry.
