How big is your Persistence file?

I had a career in 0.24/0.25 (or somewhere in that timeframe) that had tons of flights in progress, debris, etc. etc. and I believe it was several (hundred, possibly) mB.

Can't remember the exact amount, but I remember being shocked at how high the number was.

Mine is much larger than it was for previous versions on account of the endless plethora of rescue contracts - they just keep spawning and adding Kerbals to my list as well as leftover shipwrecks in orbit.

RP-0 install on 1.1.3 has a persistent file of 26MB. It is not running overly well

Persistent file size for a career game for 1.1.3 is 33,606 kb.  Getting single digit frame rates.

My largest is 3.49 MB and KSP is running nice FPS limited to 30 fps.

My last was about 10mb. I turn off persistent debris and crash/terminate probes that have expended their useful lifespan to keep load times down. Even on an SSD it gets challenging when the game has to unpack that lot every time

48MB as of last night

the load time is ok

its the save time that is a problem

i have a HD activity monitor open so i knoe if the game stoped for a save or is going to kras

While I keep debris at the default 250, because it's fun to have some junk floating around out there; Grounding probes is something I always do. If the probe has enough fuel to get home, it burns up in atmosphere. Otherwise, I'll use what fuel is left to deorbit whatever body and then burn down into it - pick up as much velocity as possible before impact. That usually assures no debris left over.

My issue isn't my persist file but rather my craft folders. You know you have a lot of craft when it takes 30 seconds just to load the list.

Put it suborbital then switch to KSC. Yet to see anything leave any debris after an on-rails planetary collision (before I started turning off debris totally...)
