First Moon Suit

Whoa, I had one of these!

Impractical, true. But a spacesuit that lets you scratch your nose does sound like a valuable innovation. :)

PS for the younger Kerbonauts: Major Matt Mason was, IMO, the greatest set of astronaut toys ever! They came out about the same time as Project Gemini, and were made from lots of concept drawings like this hardsuit. Later, they added lame aliens and ruined it, but that's what happens to everything successful, right?

It's funny that the guy who designed it is called hazard.

Those tube "suits" avoid the fact that humans already have very capable arms, no robotics needed.

Also, those things would have sparked a whole lot of controversy; "Man didn't walk on the Moon, they were still in their tube".

Those tube suits are designed that way because, when wearing a bulky spacesuit, human arms are severely reduced in capability, with the gloves especially having little freedom of motion and often causing bruising after extended use.

Dexterity is something space suits do not supply or allow

Still be better than an claw controlled by some control.

Now an robotic arm might work better still, using an VR glove like control but in this setting you can stay inside or on ground.
