How to take control of my rover?

Recommended Posts

Hi all. So heres my problem. I want to take a rover to the Mun, so Ive built a "lander" with my rover attatched to the bottom (this lander is only for test purposes on the launchpad). Im using a 0.01 force decoupler to break the rover away which works fine.....the rover lands on the floor and sits there. However, I cant seem to take control of the rover? I have an OKTO 2 pod on it as shown in the pictures yet, even taking Jeb and sitting him on it I cant control the rover. Is it me doing something wrong or.....?

In case you haven't done it: Try the bracket keys [ and ] to change active vehicle.

EDIT: I'm a bit slow. Is the command pod attached directly to the rover and Jeb is inside and te rover still won't work? I'm asking becaue I assumed (blame my poor eye sight) that the rover was detachable from the rest of the rocket, and the command pod in particular.

Make OKTO top side facing the direction you recognize as forward.

edit: In this setup W key will do nothing becouse it tells the rover to pitch up which it cant.

Thankyou for your advice....it worked! Rep sent to you my man :)

BTW, Jeb is in his pod, even when the rover detatches. Your answer now gives me control over the rover :) Thankyou again.
