Move and snap both ends of struts

Recommended Posts

I'm currently working on strut and fuel line alignment, and should have an update this week of Editor Extensions. The current version has a not terribly useful strut alignment, but I have a much better one coming this week - it will snap either end to the edge, middle or top/bottom 25% of the attached part, or just align itself straight out of the beginning part. As far as using the offset tool, I haven't tried adding something like that yet.

Can I request a feature for the next versions of the Editor Extensions?

In KSP editor, when one tries to move a TT-70 radial decoupler using the offset tool along the surface of the part it’s attached to, it sinks down with its legs for some reason so it isn’t possible anymore to pull it back without reattaching. Some other parts also behave like that.

Is it possible to fix this?

that will only happen if you have angle snap turned on. (angle snap will also snap the offset tool). Turn angle snap off when offsetting if you don't want that to happen.

Regarding moving both ends of a strut, has this been made a mod? I was hoping there would be a way (eventually) to be able to offset both the root and the end point of a strut, to better help 'hide' them inside wings and such.
