Can i improvise? YEAH I CAN! :D

Once we were at a 4 day camp and we forgot to bring our propane tank trees (propane spout things that are adapters). we ended up just cooking everything on coals. eggs are much harder to cook that way haha. oh and pizza, much much harder lol.

You made pizza? Mad respect, bro. I hate to clean up after anything much larger than a 2-pot meal. Oatmeal is a major no-no on all my camping trips, unless you eat it from the paper container.

Have you tried the Philmont Ranger Peach Cobbler? There was a recipe for it in the old Handbook.

I feel like eggs are easier on flames.

Not when you're cooking them on tin foil lol

tin foil pizza's are hard to make. 9/10 of the bottoms were almost black because of forgetful new scouts. lol

You cook on tin foil? Uhhh. We only cook foil meals/ potatoes in foil.

Didn't you have some pots and pans?

Also, you can bake eggs, too. Just put them near the coals, covered in mud.

We ran out of water the night before and had to eat before we got more, so we decided to go ahead and forget about KP. was 100% worth it lol the eggs were amazing

Oh, I can cool all sorts of stuff..... but what I'm really proud of is how good a cook my daughter is becoming!

I can't tell you how much I love hearing "I'm cooking dinner tonight, Dad"  :D

now you need a son and teach him the same ; )

A small assortment of things. Of course, there's the usuals like scrambled eggs, bacon and whatnot (mm, bacon), but I also know a few Asian style dishes thanks to my parents and heritage (grandfather was a chef). Still learning, though - I still forget ingredients from time to time!
