Low Mun Orbit?

Hello, I just wanted to know what is the altitude boundary between high Mun orbit and low Mun orbit. I am doing a science mission and want to get both high and low science. Thanks in advance:).

Isn't this dictated by your SMA? High altitude is 60 Km, but altitude does not correspond with orbit. I think the proper answer is SMA > 260000

No. It's instantaneous. If you're in orbit and below 60km when you gather your data that's low space.

Don't even need to be in orbit.

Jumping 2m from the surface will get you "low space" readings.

Hyperbolic flyby at 20km/s will also give "low space" as long as your instantaneous altitude is <60000
