Addon Releases- All of RaiderNick's Mods are locked?

This is confusing. I was going to respond to the Soviet Probes and it's locked...?

What happened to them?

Looks like they all say "Locked at OP's request.". That will likely be the beginning, middle, and end of the story, unless/until he chooses to say something himself. The mods are unlikely to comment beyond "Locked at OP's request.", unless he's told them something additional AND told them that they can share that additional information freely.

"No derivatives". You can redistribute them unmodified, but any significant modification would be copyright infringement as soon as you share it in any way. The most you can legally do is distribute something like a ModuleManager patch to fix any issues that arise, and that must be distributed separately and without any of the original content attached to it. You can, obviously, distribute your own independent work that is designed to work along side it (but not in the same distribution as his work, since he explicitly excludes "mod packs").

Indeed, the copyright owner can still give any other form of license to someone individually, or a group, or en-masse, after a CC BY-NC-ND release. As with all free and open source licenses, the copyright owner retains full rights unless they explicitly and exclusively transfer those rights, so can grant any form of additional license at any time.

Other people may have started this chain of events. If so, that is close to 'blaming the victim' for no longer making deliveries on that street. I don't know what led to his decision, so I should not speculate further.

He makes no deliveries on any street anymore, he left town.

I think almost all mod makers are victims of nagging to some degree, not all respond in the same way.

Let's let the discussion of raidernick's reasons for asking for the lock drop, speculation is not going to lead anywhere good. The mods are his to do with as he pleases, he wishes to have the threads locked and we have obliged. If you are interested in forking one or more of the mods or knowing more about why the locks were requested then it is better to PM raidernick with your questions rather than speculating publicly.

I liked his mods. I would think it might be all the stress from modding.
