wait until you reached 170m/s befor starting to turn. switch SAS to follow prograde when it can't hold the pitch anymore. don't use the last stage. instead enable RCS and activate action group 1. Then you can switch back the SAS to hold position and disable RCS.

sometimes the Kerbal disintegrates...

to void this:

- come from a 90km orbit

- put your periapsis at 55km

- to land at ksc the periapsis has to be about 1/6 orbit ahead to ksc

- in the atmosphere ever point to radial

Seriously though, great job on this. I've tried making one myself a couple of times but failed so far, your video has given me the inspiration I need to give it another try.
