Problem with Minmus Greater Flats?

Recommended Posts

I just tried landing on Minmus Greater Flats, even though I have touched down the program still thinks I am above the surface so I can't get any science from there. I checked with MechJeb and it tells me the landing site is at 0m. The same seems to be true for Minmus Flats also. I am running v 1.02. I searched for the problem expecting it to be a common one but I don't see anyone else having an issue with this.

Never had that exact problem. Closest thing I've ever had was one time when I was running a mod that had a new engine in it, and I landed on that engine, and I guess the model had some sort of collision-mesh issue so that the game couldn't see that I was really landed. What part of your ship is touching the ground? (is it stock, or something custom?)

Other than that possibility, no idea. If you try taking off just a little and then settle to the surface again, does the problem persist? What if you save and then re-load?

I had an issue with a bouncy drilling rig on wheels. Even with the brakes on, it would jiggle and vibrate across the flats and prevented switching vessels because it was "still in flight". Accelerating to non-physics warp made it stop, and when I went back to normal speeds it didn't do it anymore.

I've had the opposite situation. I landed on a terrier engine (it didn't detach properly when I decoupled it), and it registered my landing for the contract. But when I took off to try and return home, the game kept reporting me as landed.

I landed the ship on Minmus Highlands fine. It wasn't just EVA it was all science. Even MechJeb was confused when trying too land. It thought it hadn't landed when it had. BTW I am using the Mac version, not that that should make any difference.
