Mod that adds a "logbook" to kerbals

When you plant a flag, you get to enter a little text box with info about the landing and such.

I would absolutely love it if there was a mod that added a kerbal "logbook" that you could open any time to make an entry about the current situation.

and maybe, if the entry is about a specific biome or geographical feature or such, that when the logbook entries are recovered (or transmitted) they would provide a small amount of science from "learning" about the area.

Anyone else think this is a good idea? Or is there a similar mod out already?

Final Frontier gives merits to Kerbals according to their archievements.

A log book... interessting idea! The flight log is a bit underwhelming.

In-game notes kinda fits the absolute basics of my request, but I would really love it if it was a part of the gameplay, like in career and such. Maybe I'll PM the author.
