Grunf911 Posted June 9, 2016 Share Posted June 9, 2016 (edited) Would it be a big problem to recompile the Tech Tree Editor to allow loading Yonge Tech tree with . instead of , for scale. If in the EngTechTree i put: scale = 0,6 instead of: scale = 0.6 ..and save, then the KSP will not load it. And given comma is used in other places while dot is used only in scale, it would be a lot easier to make editor read dot than vice versa. Also careful when saving the tree. What got me here is that I was having an issue where the communotron 16 wasn't showing up in the VAB even though I have it unlocked in the tree and was on a few of my rockets.  It might be related to the fact that I had installed some mod parts that were used on existing rockets and then decided to remove those mods later.  This took me down a few rabbit holes last night to try and figure out what was going on, but here's one of the holes I went down. I was a bit curious how the EngTechTree.cfg file works, so I downloaded the latest version from git and started poking around in it.  While looking around, I noticed in a few of the nodes, that there were parts with duplicate names.  This got me to thinking how many parts are duplicated in the tree.  Would having duplicate part names cause issues to where parts would be missing in the VAB? I'm not a modder by no means and I really don't mean to complain, however I really love this game and play it whenever I have free time, but I just keep running into problems with some of the mods and can't make any progress in the game. First let me apologize to, I'm sorry if I get his name incorrect; RoverDude. I think that's his name, for complaining to him for one of the reactors that does not work at all. By the way I think I found out why, as it is going to be removed at some point. Anyway, before the release of the latest KSP; I had a BIG problem with the game crashing a lot. Now that it has been solved, some of the mods are all goofy. Anything form sinking in to the ground, exploding on contact, not showing up in VAB after unlocking in R&D to not working at all. Sorry, got a little long winded. I just want to know if there will ever be a new Firespitter and a ETT release that will work? As these two mode are the ones having problems. some of the parts in firespitter still sinks into the ground and ETT won't give me the parts that I work so hard to unlock. The latest ETT seems to give me the parts, however, R&D is so messy I can't make heads or tails out of it. Also, the editor being released with it, I would think is for modder. As to the former I am not. So the new ETT is useless to me. OH, I all most forgot. I would really like to pimp my rover, so somebody PLEASE fix the Fast corp wheels. New "YongeTech Tech Trees Plugin Revived" will track ETT version numbers and KSP version. CKAN users will need to uninstall any existing YongeTech Tech Tree Plugin to cross-grade. Available now!
