Career Mode Bug?

Hi,

I have just installed the game via Steam and am having problems with the Career Mode.

Basically once I have completed "Achieve speeds exceeding 2,500m/s" no further contracts are available, the window is empty.

I have deleted the game and reinstalled but still have this dead-end.

Is that really the end of career mode? I have searched these forums and can not find anything so apologies if I have missed something.

Searching the web it would appear that there should be other contracts but I can not find them, I have tried going higher and faster in case there is one hidden but I just run out of cash.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Are you referring to the little drop-down window? If so, the Mission Control building(just above the VAB) is where you accept new contracts.

There are four starter contracts in the mission control building, "Launch a new vessel", "Gather Science", "Escape the Atmosphere" and "Orbit Kerbin".

There's a bunch of automatically accepted distance, altitude and speed contracts to help you get started, after that you need to escape the atmosphere to prompt the generation of new contracts.

This can be achieved just by going straight up with a few SRB's
