Prevent air intakes from expoding due to overheating

Apart from going slower or higher, is there any way to make the intakes on my space planes not explode so much?

Use the shock cone intakes.

Maybe, placing them on massive parts that absorb the heat well?

Don't bother with the shock cone and ramp intake, I found a better way. Slightly heavier, but much better in the heat management department.

Follow this diagram:

Engine>precoolers>pointed fairing.

2 precoolers per RAPIER, 3 per turbojet.

About as heat resistant you can get.
