Is it possible to switch the VAB camera to the SPH camera functionality?

I'm thinking more of the lateral movement capability. I once had a glitch where the SPH camera suddenly decided that it was the VAB camera, but I have no idea how that happened and zero idea how to reproduce.

And ... should be stock. I build my complex, huge rockets in SPH nowadays because of this limitation.

The EditorCamExtensions wasn't actually what I was looking for. I meant something that gives all of the SPH camera functionality to the VAB one.
