Problem with Kopernicus

Recommended Posts

I'm developing a planet mod with ThatGuyWithALongUsername, and I need help fixing up this moon. Its name is Squash; when I zoom out, it turns to Minmus, but it's okay otherwise! I have the album and the preliminary mod below.

Your missing this.

ScaledVersion

{

type = Atmospheric // Set this to Vacuum if you don't have an Atmo

fadeStart = 0

fadeEnd = 0

Material

I'd also put this in the Material so it doesn't look too shiny.

shininess = 0

specular = 0.0,0.0,0.0,1.0

I also just noticed that you already have .dds texture files, stick with PNG until you're completely sure a planet is ready.

Export the map.dds files with DXT1 compression, and export the normal.dds files with grayscale and DXT5 compression.

Your config works fine for me, all i did was change the file paths to the textures i used as a test. Check that your filepaths in the ScaledVersion and PQS sections are correct.

edit:

didnt look at OP properly, ill try with your files

had a look and it seems theres something VERY wrong with you configs, i cannot load the meander planets at all, so i had to remove their configs and leave only set squash after moving it to orbit kerbin so i could test it.

The lighting on the planet was off, but only in PQS view, it appeared at 90 degrees from the sun...but it appeared kind of....there were alot of issues with it....

You may want to look at rewriting your configs, try looking at OPM or New Horizons for working configs.
