KIS Help .... Lost in space...

Hi - for the life of me i can't find the answer to this anywhere.

I have KIS and KAS installed- all I need to do is move an RCS port from one end of my ship to the other. However, I can't seem to drop the detached part into my inventory to carry it with me...

Any help hugely appreciated. I'm on a Mac.. maybe it's a bug?

You can't drop it into a bin? Is that what you meant by inventory?

Be sure you have enough space, as each available part has it's own storage variable.

I think he means the Kerbal's personal inventory. In that case, yeah... it may not fit. Two hacks around this:

1. start moving at a VERY slow speed down the ship and drop the part. It'll coast alongside you until you grab it and place it on the ship again.

2. Hopscotch your way down the ship, repeatedly moving and placing the part. It'll take longer... but there's no risk of loosing the part to the abyss.

You are probably just clicking, not holding down the buttons.

Equip a wrench on your Engineer. Then hold down the G button, move your mouse over the part you want to move to your inventory, hold down the left mouse button (maybe can now release G, not 100% sure), while holding it still down, drag it into your inventory, then release left mouse and G.

stupid key sequence! Now it works.

Basically I made it all the way to one of Jool's moons, and my RCS dried up. So i need to move the Vernol engines from the booster stage up to my lander... it's gonna work now! YOU HAVE SAVED MANY KERBALS!
