1.0.3/1.0.4 still resets all settings on restart

I still have all my settings reset on restart. It keeps showing the window where KSP asks you to share your data what it normally does on the first run only.

It resets all my graphic and controller settings every single restart. Does anyone know the solution to this?

Are you using a joystick or xbox 360 controller? This also happens to me but only when starting up KSP with the controller unplugged.

Hmm is that it? When I save my settings with a controller and it cannot find it on a restart it messes up the config?

Can you try making sure that your controller is plugged in before you start KSP?

Also, rename your current settings.cfg so KSP makes a new one, that will help with the resetting issue.

This might be due to duplicate entries (minor corruption) in settings.cfg.

If you have KSP via Steam, this file is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Kerbal Space Program

If you're feeling adventurous:

1. exit KSP

2. navigate to path listed above, in file explorer

3. Rt-click drag/drop settings.cfg & choose "copy" to make a backup

4. delete settings.cfg

5. Restart KSP

KSP will rebuild the file with default values.

Note: You will lose & need to set up again, any custom keybindings, sound/video quality settings, etc.

Starting the game with your controller already plugged in will stop your settings from resetting.

No, it does not. I have my controllers plugged in constantly and I have this exact problem. And deleting the settings file is not a permanent fix.

Oh, I am not sure then. It works for me.

Maybe you can make a copy of your save file and then put it back in before you start up the game.

Also what controller are you using?

I have a full set from CH Products, The CombatStick, ProThrottle and ProPedals.

I am having the same issues as Capt. Hunt, with my settings reverting with or without my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro connected.
