Ctrl+Z bug breaks the game!

Recommended Posts

I used to use this back in old days quickly cloning the parts of the ship, but in the new version this is game breaking bug that you have to restart and start you vessel from scratch. What is wrong with 1.0+ why there is more bugs than in earlier betas?

Hello Ghost13, this is not a widely reported issue, actually I think you're the first to mention this since 1.0.x, and ctrl+z is working for me.

Please see the support stickies and provide more information or we can't help you, sorry.

Press Delete after CTRL-Z if you have this problem.

But Yes if you press CTRL-Z it makes a Ghost of the Item and leaves it attached to Mouse Pointer.

If you place the item that is attached to the mouse pointer on your ship it will break the game.

To include:

Game gets stuck on the screen and you can leave it.

Unable to save or corrupts the ship save file.

I totally agree, ghost. 1.0 broke this game in so many ways. VAB hardly functions at all. I'm not a forum dweller, I prefer to play the game, but I'm here tonight to try to find some explanation or work arounds for some of the bugs. I have almost 400 hours into this game and loved it up until 0.9 but unless I find some solutions I've decided I'm quitting the game until they fix all of this mess.

I don't get it. When I press ctrl-z, it deletes the last part I put on the ship. It acts like ctrl-z does in many other 3-d applications, undo the last operation. When I alt-left click, it makes a ghost copy of whatever my mouse cursor is pointed to, and it works just fine. I wonder if I am playing on the same OS. This thread is in the windows support section, I don't get it.

If you remove a part and then hit ctrl-z it will replace the part. If you still have the part selected, or set it down to the side in the editor then you will have a clone of that part or group of parts.

Alt-left click is indeed the better option for this.

I've got the exact same issue, ruined the entire vessel where i worked on the past few hours, made me rage quit KSP for this week. Exactly like Ekudram said. This bug is horrible and game breaking.

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
