Skyrim: What's something weird you do?

Ever since I built my house with
Hearthfire
, and installed a bookshelf, I've been obsessed with collecting books to fill up the shelves.

New books, books I already have, any book (except ruined and burned) I take (even steal) to put on my bookshelf. When I ran out of room on that shelf, I built another whole house just so I could have a dedicated library to store all my books. I'll have them sorted shortly, between Large books, story books, info books, and journals.

Is there anything weird or out of the ordinary that you do in Skyrim? :)

I collect skulls.

It's fun because most of the skulls you see lying around are actually scenery and not objects, when I find some that aren't it make me happy.

Plus it's hilarious to dragon shout a bed full of skulls.

Oh. Um. That's....interesting?

Remind me never to make you mad, wouldn't wanna be an addition to the collection! :P

We (me and my wife) had the same obsession with books and having them sorted out. I think it's not that unusual. At least not as much as making columns of gems, like we used to do in Morrowind...

Objects put in a specific place were more stable in Morrowind. We soon had to cast a levitation spell to place the gems. The ceiling stopped us.

Ha. Nothing is stable in skyrim. I typically have to fiddle with something at least twice to get it to stay. :P

I did the book thing too, but I didn't try to get multiple copies, just as complete a library as I could get.

In Oblivion I kept little trophy collections of sorts, just items laid out on a table or desk. If you try that in Skyrim, the next time you load into the room/house, things tend to go flying about.

I don't think I did anything weird... I would occasionally pick a fight with guards and lure them out of a town and then summon Odahviing for giggles. Once in awhile I'd Fus-Ro-Dah Braith too. Little snot.

Edit: And in one game I decided to actually travel everywhere I needed to go without fast traveling via the map, but carriages were fair game. Eventually I got turned into a werewolf and whenever I had somewhere else to go I'd cross the countryside while changed, in a murderous rampage, killing everyone I saw. Good times.

Oh I forgot that I also collect Hold Shields. Like Guard shields. I hope to have one of each of the 9 holds. (For a whiterun shield, I just lured a giant to the western watchtower and it killed one for me :P )

Putting bukets on peoples heads is my highlight of skyrim :D. also running across a table with loads of food on it and watching it fly across the room. And building a pile of cabages once i just did that for about an hour. :D

I'm a skyrim bookworm. And estate agent.

Also, my gf has a strange obsession on wearing every single piece of clothing she can get her hands on. Funnily enough, IRL she's pretty frugal and doesn't buy everything she sees.

In TES games, I always strive to get a decent home.

Like one in Anvil.

Then, I try to make it comfy - buying upgrades and using mods like Furniture Store and Decorator Assistant. Grabbing all nice looking, not owned items, like silverware, and good looking weapons, while questing. Collect all the books, of course.

Then, I lose all desire to go outside - just want to curl on the bed and purr. Game is basically ruined at this point.

Spooky scary skeletons...

I break and enter for the weirdest reasons. Well, without an explanation they would be weird. Maybe I need baskets to carry food to orphans? I collect books but I don't read them. They just make my shelves look a bit less barren. I am the knight of the open road, if people swear or seem to be upsetting travelers, Geoffrei to the rescue*!

*Unless you are rich, in which case I will kill you and everyone around you, loot your corpse, and carry on riding.

In Oblivion I collected all the bottles, cups, silverware, etc. I could find and would put them in a pile on one side of the smallest shack. I just liked piling them up because you can't do that in most games. Something satisfying about being able to collect stuff and it not go into some virtual container. Fantasy Hoarder?

I don't think I did anything weird in Skyrim, but in Oblivion, heh... For some reason every single character I made went into the mages guild up to the point where you get accepted into the university, went into the dark brotherhood up to the point when Vincente offers you to become a vampire, and then becomes one, and, with a few notable exceptions, didn't even give away the amulet of the kings, much less went into any main story depths.

On my current playthrough, I have convenient horses, which among other things has turned my horse into a walking storage chest. I have taken advantage of this to store every book I can find (makes it easy to see when I am picking up duplicates), and will eventually build a house with a library so I can start storing them.

At some point I will active a mod that gives you proper control to move and place objects, including objects that can't normally be moved. I expect to lose many hours once that goes online.
