Is the Asteroid Day Mod going to be bundle with KSP Version 1.1?

I'm wondering if anybody has heard whether the Asteroid Day mod will be bundled with the default version 1.1 build or will we need to download it separately. I was planning on downloading it anyway but I was just curious.

I don't think so, probably would have said something by now. But I'd go grab it whenever ya can for the high gain antenna alone.

I hope not. A four part mod doesn't deserve stock integration. Remember when Spaceplane+ got added? That added a huge amount of parts! This, not so much. It shouldn't be stock. Just download it if you want it so badly.

First, I would like to say that this particular mod is different than SPP+ was. SPP+ was owned by a non-squad add-on author. The Asteroid Day mod is made by two previous add-on authors who now build code directly for squad. It's also one of two "Official Mods" that squad has released.

That being said, I doubt it will be bundled given that the original wasn't. However, noting is final until the version is released. So until it's publicly announced that it won't be, it's always possible.

Also, 1.1 has already announced a feature that will add more parts...

Its a tough call because the first one was only a soccer mod for the world cup at the time. That didn't really have the same application ingame as the Asteroid Day mod does.

Also, I wonder, since the new antennae from the asteroid day mod was included in that devnote picture of "all the Antennae's" you'll get in 1.1...

Thanks, that answers my question but leads me to another one. If I build craft using the Asteroid Day mod parts is it still considered stock?

Well since it would have mod parts, then no, it would be a modded craft.

Eh, being a bit technical. None of these parts add anything to how your craft flies at all. Just really a couple science parts. Now if the challenge or something you wanted to build for is designed around (not even collecting but TRANSMITTING only) science, that is the only time you would really have to call your craft modded. I would never call a stock craft modded just because it had the antenna...

Sure, but consider that OP probe core. Its got tons of electric power and like the torque of like 12 other probecores combined.

Sure, but consider that OP probe core. Its got tons of electric power and like the torque of like 12 other probecores combined.

Don't disrespect the new HECS! I agree that the wheels should perhaps be rebalanced a tad but I don't think 1000 power is that out of the question - there's lots of room in there compared to the other probes.
